The practice originally opened in 1984. Gwyn & Carol Pritchard took over the practice in May 1991. Over the years substantial redevelopment has taken place within the practice. Access to the building, has been modified to incorporate a ramp. This has been designed specifically for both wheelchair and pushchair handling. Treatment room entrances are also wide enough for ease of entry.
A nappy changing room is available for the younger members of the family. Babies can also be fed in this room for added privacy if required.
The practice administration is handled by a computerized dental management system allowing records to be accessed easily and with minimum delay. Appointments with the clinical members of the team are accessed via the program hopefully minimizing any errors that occur. Customized recall intervals are arranged to suit each individual, following a consultation with our team.
All treatment rooms are geared up for seated, four handed dentistry using the latest techniques and materials. One of our treatment rooms is on the first floor of the building. Please let us know, when making an appointment, if you have difficulty getting up stairs. If this is the case we can always arrange for your care to be carried out in one of our ground floor rooms.
We are currently accepting new Private patients to the practice. All details can be obtained by telephone.
Continual education of all members of the team is a priority and as such we regularly attend education courses to keep up with the latest developments and techniques within Dentistry. An annual refresher course is held within the practice to ensure that, in the unlikely event of emergency first aid being required, all members of the team are fully aware of the procedures to be followed. Twice weekly staff training meetings are held to complement external training.
We aim to provide gentle, friendly dental care for the whole family in a relaxed atmosphere. To ensure this we recommend regular check-up and preventative appointments. Following your consultation, and treatment planning discussion, you will be given a written estimate of the proposed cost of treatment. Payment is due as treatment is carried out. we accept cash, MasterCard or Visa.
As part of our preventative philosophy you can choose to join a prevention program such as DENPLAN.
